Dr. William Weinrich to preach at Northwest Reformation 500

Dr. William C. Weinrich is Professor of Historical Theology and Coordinator of Military Chaplaincy at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind. (CTSFW), where he has taught since 1975. He is the author or translator of numerous commentaries, articles, and scripture studies, including works for InterVarsity Press and Concordia Publishing House.

Dr. Weinrich served thirty years in the Indiana Air National Guard and retired at the rank of lieutenant colonel after serving as chaplain (1978–2004). He served The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as third vice-president (1998–2001) and as fifth vice-president (2001–2004). He also served the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia as rector of its theological school, the Luther Academy, in Riga, Latvia (2007–2010) before returning to the classroom at CTSFW in 2011.

He is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma (B.A., 1967; Phi Beta Kappa), and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (M.Div. 1972). He received the Doctor of Theology degree from the University of Basel, Switzerland (1977).
